Patch Drying up, Open Sunday Afternoon

The water and mud are drying up, so we will be back open Sunday afternoon.  Just be sure to wear grubby shoes and clothes, you could get kinda dirty going through the rows.

Strawberry Patch Closed due to Rain

Friday night brought almost 2″ of rain, flooding the strawberry patch.  The creek is out of the banks and the lane down to the patch is under water.

Sorry for the multiple updates and changes, but mother nature is keeping us on our toes.

We’ll post again when we’ll be able to open the patch back up.

Strawberry Patch Open

The rains are gone and the patch is dry.  We will definitely be open and ready for strawberry pickers.  There are plenty of ripe strawberries ready to be picked.  And then eaten of course.

UPDATE: While this was true when it was posted, rains Friday night flooded the strawberry patch.

So the rain has flooded the strawberry patch.  Let’s hope for warm and sunny weather to dry out the ground before Saturday.  We’ll post an update if the patch is still muddy or inaccessible Friday night or Saturday morning.

Opening day update

We are still planning on being open Saturday, June 11.   Fully ripe strawberries are still not plentiful.  If you don’t mind searching a bit and are only looking for a few pounds, come on Saturday.  If you want easier picking and more berries, wait until Wednesday, June 15 or later.

2011 Strawberry Patch Details

The weather and spring season have put a delay on the strawberries ripening.  But we’ve had a good week of warm and sunny weather !

We have decided opening day will be Saturday, June 11.

Strawberry Patch hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
We are tentatively planning to be closed on Tuesdays to allow berries to ripen.  Call ahead if you want to pick strawberries on Tuesdays.
